Background: Ben was introduced to the game at the age of 9, and later went on to compete on the Professional Futures Circuit. Ben has represented Yorkshire at U12 through U18 with the later being for 3 years. Between 2001-2005 he attended the University of South Carolina (USA) on an athletic scholarship playing on their No. 13 nationally ranked team. During his time at South Carolina he earnt a Bachelor of Science in Sports and Entertainment Management. Before taking up his current role as TDO and Head Coach at Scarborough-Pindar he spent a year as a full time travelling coach on the WTA Tour. Ben has also served as practice partners for former World No.1 and multiple Grand Slam winner Jennifer Capriati and Masters Series winner and former World No. 13 Andrei Pavel. Bens first club position was at Ballen Isles Country Club in Palm Beach Gardens Florida, working with both adult and junior players at the club. Upon returning to England he still competes for Yorkshire Mens County Cup Team in both the Summer and Winter events, and plays for Nuffield Tennis Centre in the AEGON Team Tennis competition.

Interests/Hobbies: Watching Hull FC (Rugby League) and playing golf.

Adam Tildsley
Tennis Assistant (Level 2)

Background: Adam has been playing tennis since attending coaching sessions at the age of 7. He represented Scarborough Schools in North Yorkshire competitions, currently competes in the Scarborough & District League, Driffield League and Scarborough-Pindar Winter Indoor singles league. He is currently coaching in the Scarborough Pindar Junior Tennis Programme and is in the process of completing his level 3 coaching qualification.

Jack Body
Tennis Assistant (Level 1)

Background: Jack has been a part of the Junior Programme for the last 2 years where he has competed in our U18 teams, he also plays during the summer at Hackness and Scalby Tennis Club. His progress has seen him now playing in the clubs Driffield League Mens teams, and along with other of the clubs juniors will be playing in more tournaments including the County closed event. Jack is involved in coaching the Mini Tennis programme that has seen him develop his coaching skills and is looking to further himself both playing and coaching.

Rory Tate
Tennis Assistant (Level 1)

Background: Rory has been playing on the Junior Programme for 2 years, he has enjoyed playing on the clubs U18 teams, recently he has started playing in the Mens teams. Rory also plays at Hackness Tennis Club. Rory is involved in coaching the Mini Tennis Programme that has seen him develop his coaching skils and is looking further himself both playing and coaching.
